With the number of Acai berry scams circulating it is often difficult to find the real deal, unless you know what signs to look for.

Ever since Oprah and Dr. Oz talked about Acai berries and how good they are for you it seems like the number of companies selling Acai berry products has exploded. The reason for this explosion is that numerous companies and individuals are looking to cash in on the latest craze, which is normal for how popular these products are. As a consumer, what you need to do is learn how to avoid Acai berry scams when purchasing the products so you are not wasting your hard-earned money.

The first thing that you need to do is understand that in some cases you can simply lose your money if you become a victim of a scam. In cases like this what usually happens is you go and order a product, you pay for it, but the product never arrives. And in other situations you can simply be wasting your money by purchasing these products because you are paying for something that is packed full of a variety of different ingredients, in these cases you are not getting much acai for what you paid.

Step one:
The first thing to look for when trying to spot a scam is an offer that sounds too good to be true because chances are it is. The most common offer is the free trail offer. What you need to realize is that there is no such thing as a free trail offer. Most of the companies that offer this simply charge your credit card each month for the product if you don’t cancel your trail offer within a set amount of time. If you have to enter in your credit card for any reason to qualify, you want to steer clear.

Step two:
Make sure you read the Terms of Service carefully, which includes any of the fine print. It is often in the Terms of Service that you find they include things like being auto billed each month for a specific amount. You will also often find the free supplements you receive must be paid for after the trail period, whether you were satisfied or not.

Step three:
If the website is putting up pictures of celebrities, especially Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz, and Oprah you want to leave immediately. Although Dr. Oz has talked about the health benefits of Acai berries on Oprah’s show neither of them have ever endorsed any Acai berry products. If any company is using their names or pictures, they are trying to get you to think that these people are endorsing the products, which this is one of the most popular Acai berry scams.

Step four:
If the website is promising that you will benefit from rapid weight lose in huge amounts then be very wary. No studies have ever been done with the Acai berry and weight loss, so companies claiming it will help you lose weight have nothing to back up those findings. If they are promising you can lose 20 pounds or some other ridiculous amount in a week it is a scam.

There are many signs you can look for in order to spot these Acai berry scams, most them are simply in the information, or lack of it, on the websites. The key to avoiding these scams when you are purchasing Acai products is to do your research, which enables you to find reputable buyers.
